The PGA Tour is back in the United States for a regular, full-field event this week after the conclusion of the Asian swing.
TPC Summerlin plays host to the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open in Las Vegas. The course has held the tournament for over a decade now, and it's one of the easier stops on the Tour schedule. It's a par 71 that plays a little over 7,200 yards and has easy fairways that allow the players to pull driver quite often. It also has some of the easiest greens to hit. The winner will usually break 20-under par.
The betting odds are pretty balanced at the top of the board with nine guys at 30-1 or less. Tony Finau enters as the favorite at 14-1 followed by Patrick Cantlay at 16-1. Both are among a growing group of young players who many expect will find the winner's circle at some point this year.
It goes without saying in golf betting that we need to shop around for the best price, but this week it's especially important. ISome of the longer shots I like this week are getting an extra 50-75 points on that book. Just remember to search around as much as possible, regardless of who you end up picking.
My full card is listed below. I'll be back to break down the plays, beginning with Charley Hoffman on Tuesday and the long shots on Wednesday.
