"The Match" is happening again.

Sources tell The Action Network that Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson are in the final stages of planning a golf showdown in May, and the second go-around comes with a twist: Tom Brady and Peyton Manning will be joining the duo for a 2v2 match.

A Turner Sports spokesperson confirmed to The Action Network the match will be aired live on TNT with surrounding content on Bleacher Report. The exact date is unclear, but May 24 is one possible rumored date. All proceeds from the event will go to COVID-19 relief.

The matchup is believed to be Tiger and Peyton, who are both Nike spokesmen, against Phil and Brady. It will be called "The Match: Champions for Charity," according to sources.

A PGA TOUR official told The Action Network's Jason Sobel that Tiger and Phil would need to receive a "release form for them to play a televised or streamed event in the U.S.”

A TOUR official told Sobel, “We are still in discussions on a number of items, including ensuring the health and safety for all involved with the event.”

The course has not been finalized, but one source pointed to Medalist Golf Club in Hobe Sound, Florida, as the likely destination for the event. Woods is a member at the Medalist, which is a popular private club among PGA TOUR pros.

Last week, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis voiced support for hosting the long-rumored match in the Sunshine State, saying, “You wouldn’t have a gallery there, you wouldn’t have crowds. But to put that on TV, I think people have been starved for content.”

It is currently unclear what the format for this one-day contest will be. Manning and Brady are similar golfers in terms of their skill sets: Peyton has a 6.4 handicap, while TB12 has a 8.1 index.

Mickelson and Woods played one another in a one-day, head-to-head match on November 23, 2018 at the Shadow Creek Golf Course in Las Vegas, Nevada. Mickelson defeated Woods in what was a the first major U.S. sporting event that showed live betting odds on a national TV telecast. Mickelson won $9 million for his victory.

The PGA TOUR has been on hiatus since March 12 amid the coronavirus pandemic. The TOUR announced last week it was planning to return on June 11 at the Charles Schwab Challenge.

Woods — who skipped the PLAYERS Championship due to a sore back — recently said he would've been healthy enough to compete in the Masters had it not been postponed.
