The U.S. Open betting market is focused on one person.
Scottie Scheffler is garnering all of the attention as the No. 1 player in the world looks to win back-to-back events and his second major of the season.
Scheffler is the clear favorite to win the tournament at +300 odds at BetMGM. No other player is higher than +1000.
The Masters champion accounts for 24.2% of the outright bets and a whopping 44.7% of the total handle at BetMGM. Scheffler is also a popular bet for first-round leader. He's getting 17.5% of the first-round leader bets and accounts for 20.6% of the handle.
He's the biggest liability for BetMGM in both outright bets and first-round leader.
Scheffler has also drawn most of the betting interest at ESPN BET. He accounts for 14.2% of the bets and 34.2% of the handle. No other player in the field is garnering more than 10% of the tickets or handle.
Scheffler is not as popular at FanDuel, although he still accounts for the most tickets (11%) and most handle (26%).
The other popular bet this week is Bryson DeChambeau. The LIV golfer is the second-largest liability at BetMGM after receiving 8.5% of the outright tickets (the second-most) and 8.2% of the handle. DeChambeau is +2000 to win the U.S. Open.
DeChambeau is also garnering the second-highest number of tickets and handle at FanDuel and the third-highest at ESPN BET.
Tiger Woods will always be a popular bet when he tees it up. That's still the case for the U.S. Open. He's the third-largest outright winner liability for BetMGM. He's +25000 to win while receiving 2.5% of the bets and 1.5% of the handle.
Woods is the most popular bet to make the cut this week at +200 odds at BetMGM. He's also the most popular make the cut bet at ESPN BET. He's getting 80% of the bets on him to make the cut and 20% to miss the cut at ESPN BET.
