2020 Kentucky Derby Odds & Post Positions: Tiz the Law Remains Odds-On Favorite for Run for the Roses

The draw and morning-line odds for the 2020 Kentucky Derby are out and, as expected, Tiz the Law is an odds-on favorite to win the 146th Run for the Roses. The 2020 Belmont Stakes winner has been tagged with 4-5 odds after drawing into the No. 17 position ($100 bet wins $60).

Tiz the Law is bookended by his main competition. Honor A.P. is the second choice on the board at 8-1 and will run out of the No. 16 post position, while Authentic (9-1) will run from the No. 18 spot. Tiz the Law, Honor A.P. and Authentic are the only three horses listed with single-digit odds.

Thousand Words, who will run out of the No. 10 position, is fourth in the odds at 11-1 with No. 15 NY Traffic checking in at 15-1.

The presence of such a heavy betting favorite means that there will be plenty of longshots for bettors to choose from. There are 12 horses listed at 30-1 or longer and eight of them are currently sitting at 50-1.

The 2020 Kentucky Derby will take place on Saturday, Sept. 5 at approximately 7:01 p.m. ET on NBC.
