Triple Crown season comes to an end on Saturday at Belmont Park on Long Island, where the 151st Belmont Stakes will be held. It's been an interesting horse racing season to say the least and plenty of casual horse bettors are probably trying to get off the schneid in the third leg of the Triple Crown.
The weather has also been a mixed bag so far, with the Kentucky Derby being a complete washout, while the folks at Pimlico dodged a supper-time storm to get the Preakness off without a problem.
2019 Belmont Stakes Weather
Saturday at Belmont Park looks to be a gem, though. Sunny skies, 80-degree temperatures and no chance of rain will help kick off the summer on Long Island. Be sure to wear that sunscreen and/or a ridiculous hat if you're going to be in attendance.
While there was some rain on Thursday morning, warm and dry conditions throughout Friday and Saturday will allow the track to dry out nicely. A fast track is expected so you can ignore any inside tips you may have gotten about mudders when placing your bets.
