Colorado hosts the Rochester Knighthawks in the Mammoth’s first game since trading away Chris Wardle and Paul Dawson at the deadline. The total is set at 23.5, and once again, this number is too low for a game featuring the Knighthawks.

Rochester has allowed a league-worst 13.42 goals against per game and nine of Rochester’s 12 games have finished with totals over 23.5. The Knighthawks are also tied for last in opponent shooting percentage allowed, giving up goals on 20.2% of shots per LaxMetrics. Colorado’s defense isn’t much better, ranking 12th in defensive shooting percentage with 19.3%.

On the offensive side of things, Rochester ranks third in experimental offensive efficiency and is averaging more than 13 goals per game. The Knighthawks also take the highest amount of shots on goal per game at 58.3. Meanwhile, Colorado is much less efficient but still manages to record an average of 48.9 shots on goal per game, and the Mammoth should be able to get to double-digit goals against this porous Rochester defense.

Bet this game to go over 23.5 at -120 on bet365 or BetMGM.

Pick: Over 23.5

Georgia Swarm vs. Saskatchewan Rush

My final best bet of the weekend is for the lone Sunday game in what is Saskatchewan’s second game in less than 24 hours. After taking on the Riptide on Long Island, the Rush will travel down to Georgia to face the Swarm on Sunday evening. This is another great spot to fade a team on short rest facing a team playing in its only game of the weekend.

Georgia is a 1.5-point favorite coming off a loss to their rival Philadelphia Wings. While the sportsbooks are getting better at factoring the rest advantage into the line, I still think Georgia will come away with a multi-goal victory. The Swarm are top-five in shots defended, holding opponents to a shooting percentage of 16.4%. On the flip side, the Rush are tied for last in opponent shooting percentage allowed with Rochester, giving up goals on 20.2% of shots according to LaxMetrics.

While Saskatchewan is well-equipped to take away the Georgia offense’s strength in generating breakaway goals, the Swarm’s experimental offensive efficiency mark of 40.83 is comparable to Saskatchewan’s 40.88. Expect Georgia's stout defense to slow down a tired Rush offense, build a lead and win by margin.

Bet Georgia to cover -1.5 at -130 on bet365.

Pick: Georgia Swarm -1.5
