The Week 10 National Lacrosse League slate wraps up with a Sunday matchup between the San Diego Seals and Colorado Mammoth. The Seals host as 2.5-point favorites and the total ranges between 22.5 and 23.5 depending on the sportsbook. Let’s take a look at my two best bets for the game.

Both the Mammoth and Seals are on hot streaks, with Colorado on a two-game win streak and San Diego winning its last three, including a 12-8 win over the Mammoth. I lean San Diego in this matchup, but Colorado played it tighter than the final score of their first meeting indicated.
Instead, I’m opting to bet this total to stay under 23.5 at -125 on DraftKings and ESPN Bet.
Colorado’s offense has come alive as of late, but its competition the past two weeks has been a struggling Calgary and bottom of the standings Vancouver. Against teams above .500 this year, Colorado hasn’t scored more than 10 goals and is averaging just 8.5 goals per game. A large part of its recent success has actually been due to the play of 2022 NLL Finals MVP and starting goalie Dillon Ward. Ward got off to a shaky start, but has returned to form, posting a 78.7% and 82.6% save percentage in his last two games.
On the other side, Seals netminder Christopher Origlieri has been phenomenal in his first year as a starter. Origlieri ranks second in save percentage among starters, stopping 79.9% of shots faced. The San Diego defense as a whole has been one of the best in the NLL, ranking second in goals against with an average of 10.14 per game. They also rank fourth in shots defended, allowing goals on just 16.1% of opposing shots.
While San Diego’s offense can be lethal, it prefers to play at a slower pace, opting for settled possessions instead of pushing in transition. The Seals are last in the NLL in both breakaway chances (three) and breakaway goals (two), according to LaxMetrics.
Expect another low-scoring affair between these two teams.
As much as I love the game Under, I love a player to go under their points prop even more. Colorado forward Eli McLaughlin has been incredible recently, fresh off a 10-point game against the Warriors — which makes this the perfect time to fade him.
McLaughlin has been putting up big numbers against weaker defenses, but surprisingly only gone over 6.5 once this season. Even when looking back at the 2022-23 NLL season, 6.5 points is too high. In his last 31 games, McLaughlin has had seven or more points just five times. This number should honestly be 5.5, so getting to bet under 6.5 at just -120 on bet365 is a gift.
Picks: Under 23.5 | Eli McLaughlin Under 6.5 Points
