Week 3 in the Premier Lacrosse League continues with two rivalry games on Saturday. The Archers and Chaos square off at noon before the Redwoods and Whipsnakes wrap up the weekend at 7 p.m. ET.
Let’s take a look at my best bets for both matchups.

Archers LC (-1.5) vs. Chaos LC

Chaos Odds | +135 |

The Saturday slate starts with Chaos vs. Archers and features a potential revenge spot for former Chaos player Mac O’Keefe.
The Archers are 1.5-point favorites and the total is 23.5 at most sportsbooks, though Caesars is offering a 24.
The Archers sit at the top of the standings at 2-0, and while I think they should win and cover, I’d rather play the total and a player prop in this game.
Seven of the last eight meetings have stayed under 24 goals, and while that doesn’t guarantee this total will also, I still think this number is too high.
This game features two of the best goaltenders in the league in Blaze Riorden and Brett Dobson, and both defenses have played well through two games.
Riorden and Dobson sit at the top in save percentage, each stopping more than 64% of the shots they face. The next closest goaltender is only stopping 58%.
Additionally, the Archers' defense has allowed the fewest goals against at 20 and looked dominant in their last matchup against a physical Chrome team.
The Chaos defense sits right behind them with just 21 goals allowed and have looked way better than years prior, thanks to the presence of rookie Will Bowen.
Caesars posted a 24.5 before moving the total to 24, but I think that’s still a favorable number for this game. This game is poised to be a rock fight, and despite the talent on both offenses, I think this total will stay well under 24 goals.
Bet under 24 at -130 on Caesars.
I also think Chaos midfielder Dhane Smith will stay under his points prop of 3.5. Throughout his last 10 games, Smith has only recorded four or more points in two games.
The Archers' defense will prioritize keeping him off the stat sheet as much as possible, and he’ll likely draw a long pole matchup on Saturday.
Along with the total, bet Smith to stay under 3.5 points at -146 on FanDuel.
Picks: Under 24 | Dhane Smith Under 3.5 Points
Whipsnakes LC (-1.5) vs. Redwoods LC
Whipsnakes Odds | -122 |
Redwoods Odds | +100 |

The winless Whipsnakes face the 2-0 Redwoods in another installment in the rivalry.
Despite being 0-2, the Whipsnakes are 1.5-point favorites and the total is 23.5 at most sportsbooks.
While it may be weird seeing a winless team favored against an undefeated team, I think the sportsbooks got it right.
Despite losing in their first two games, the Whipsnakes have looked like a top team through two weeks. They lost both their games by just one goal each and played well-balanced teams in the Chrome and Atlas.
The Redwoods have also looked good in their first two games, but they benefited from playing an Atlas team with new pieces on defense and a Waterdogs team that looked asleep last week.
While the Redwoods' offense has looked strong through two games, I’m not ready to call them contenders just yet. They’ll face a Whipsnakes defense that returned all of their starters and has given up just 12 goals in each of their first two games.
The Whipsnakes' offense features two former MVPs in Matt Rambo and Zed Williams, sharpshooter Will Manny and the current rookie of the year favorite, Tucker Dordevic.
The Redwoods only have one true short-stick defensive midfielder this week in Isaiah Davis-Allen, and I think he and the rest of the Redwoods' defense will have their hands full trying to stop this high-powered offense.
I think this game is a great bounce back spot for the Whipsnakes, and I think they not only win, but cover the 1.5-point spread.
Bet Whipsnakes -1.5 at +122 on FanDuel against the Redwoods on Saturday night
