The final weekend of the PLL regular season wraps on Saturday night with Cannons vs. Whipsnakes and Chrome vs. Chaos. Both games will have seeding implications and Chrome still has an outside shot at making the playoffs in the rare chance they defeat Chaos by 13 goals or more, allowing them to move ahead of Atlas in score differential.

Let’s take a look at the Saturday slate and which bets I’m targeting.

The Cannons and Whipsnakes meet for the first time this season with playoff seeding implications. A win by Cannons would secure the second seed and a game against Atlas or Chrome next week. Whipsnakes would face Waterdogs if Chaos win or finish with a better score differential than the Whipsnakes.

Meanwhile, a Cannons loss would likely lead to a rematch with Chaos, and the Whipsnakes would face Redwoods on the other side of the bracket. Given these scenarios, both teams should be motivated to win and I think this game is appropriately priced with Cannons as slight favorites.

So, instead of playing the side or total, I'm targeting three player props.

The Whipsnakes acquired Chrome's assist leader and X attackman Jackson Morrill earlier this week. Morrill has been the main facilitator in Chrome's offense, but I expect him to be used as a midfielder in his first game with the Whipsnakes. While they could choose to use him as invert threat, he won't see the same amount of playing time that he did on Chrome. Bet Morrill to stay under 2.5 points at -110 on DraftKings.

While Morrill's addition could be seen as a threat to Will Manny's playing time, I expect Manny to still factor heavily into the Whipsnakes' offense, particularly as a goal scorer. He's scored a pair of goals or more in five of none games this season, so +114 on FanDuel is a good price to bet him to go over 1.5 goals on Saturday night.

Finally, I'm betting Marcus Holman to stay under 4.5 points. Holman has had some big games this season, but I expect the Whipsnakes' defense will keep him in check. He's stayed under 4.5 points in six of nine games this season, so his odds to stay under this mark should be closer to -200, making -160 on DraftKings a good price.

Picks: Jackson Morrill Under 2.5 Points, Will Manny Over 1.5 Goals, Marcus Holman Under 4.5 Points

Chrome LC vs. Chaos LC (-1.5)

The Chrome and Chaos wrap up the PLL regular season and despite having just one win, Chrome still has a very slim chance of making the playoffs. They'll need to win by a total of 13 goals or more to match Atlas in wins and beat them in score differential. While this is extremely unlikely, they should still come ready to play a Chaos team that will be competing for the fifth or sixth seed in the playoffs.

Once again, rather than picking a side or playing the total of 22.5, I'm going to bet two assist props in this game.

The Jackson Morrill trade leaves Chrome with just Cross Ferrara and Logan Wisnauskas as the team's only active attackman. We'll see Jesse King start at attack in Morrill's place, so I expect to see more two-man game sets on the wings, which will feature Wisnauskas and King. Wisnauskas has been inconsistent this season but has recorded an assist in five of nine games. Bet Wisnauskas to go over a 0.5 assist at -135 on DraftKings.

I am also targeting Dhane Smith's assist prop of 2.5. The Chrome defense has really struggled to defend the pick and roll, something Chaos utilize often, ranking second-to-last in defending the two-man game. They are also allowing the second-most assisted goals in the league. Dhane Smith has recorded at least three assists in four of seven games this season and should have a lot of success as a feeder in this game. Bet him to surpass 2.5 assists at +160 on DraftKings.

Picks: Logan Wisnauskas Over 0.5 Assists, Dhane Smith Over 2.5 Assists
