The final Premier Lacrosse League game before the all-star break features the Boston Cannons’ second game of the weekend: a rematch with their rivals in Philadelphia. The Cannons are slight favorites this time around and the total is 25.5 at most sportsbooks. Let’s dive into my favorite bets for the Saturday night showdown.

The last time these teams played, the Boston Cannons came out on top with an overtime victory. Yet, I’m betting the Waterdogs will enact some revenge on Saturday.
Philadelphia outplayed Boston in most of the last meeting. If it wasn’t for Philly’s lack of a faceoff specialist and some flukey plays (i.e. Zac Tucci’s two-pointer at the buzzer before halftime), then the Waterdogs likely finish on top.
Boston struggled to defend Michael Sowers in the last game and I don’t think it has an answer for the speedy attackman. Now that the Waterdogs have a faceoff specialist to limit the other team’s offensive runs (and hopefully produce more of their own), I expect them to be able to come away with a win in Boston. Philly’s defense is still one of the better units in the league and if it can do a better job at defending beyond the arc, it'll have success against this offense.
Trust Philadelphia to notch a second straight win and bet the Waterdogs moneyline at +100 on Caesars.
I’m also betting Connor Kelly to go over 2.5 points on Saturday night. Kelly has only hit this mark in five of 14 games, but the price of +185 on BetMGM is a fair price to bet him to hit the over.
Kelly has range as a shooter so there’s a chance he could go over this mark in just two shots. Despite finishing with just one point against Boston in the last meeting, Kelly had his highest number of touches that game at 36 and took eight shots. This is a good game to bet on a big performance.
I’m also targeting the first quarter goal-scorer market and betting a half-unit on Jack Hannah (+172 on FanDuel) to score in the first period.
Hannah was injured when these teams last played, but his return to the lineup last week saw him score two goals on eight shots. Hannah is a volume shooter who has the green light to go to the cage. He should have plenty of chances against this Cannons defense, so there’s value in betting him to score in the first quarter.
Picks: Waterdogs ML, Connor Kelly Over 2.5 Points, Jack Hannah to score in first period (0.5 unit)
