Nate Landwehr versus Dooho Choi has the makings of a potential show-stealer, and it may be the most likely on the entire card to end up as the fight of the night.
That should hardly surprise you given both men's history; both have been involved in legendary scraps that true UFC fans will not soon forget.
Here's my Landwehr vs. Choi pick and prediction.

At UFC 310, Nate Landwehr finds himself as a small favorite against "The Korean Superboy" Choi. Landwehr’s pace and output are must-see at this point. The UFC veteran lands 6.25 significant strikes per minute, which ranks him just outside the top ten all-time in that category for fighters with a minimum of five UFC bouts.
He truly is one of those fighters who needs to take some damage in the early going before he settles into the war of attrition which he ultimately thrives in.
Landwehr has only landed 1 takedown per 15 minutes throughout his UFC tenure, but in a back-and-forth affair that could feature some wild exchanges, he undoubtedly has the potential to drag Choi to the mat in his back pocket when needed.
Choi has defended takedowns at just 47% in the UFC. Just two fights ago we saw him taken down five times in 15 minutes by Kyle Nelson; back in July, he was taken down twice in the first round by Bill Algeo.
Choi returned in 2023 after over three years of military service in South Korea and is a point deduction away from being 2-0 since stepping back into the octagon. Crisp punches, stinging leg kicks, and dangerous finishing ability remain part of the once highly-regarded featherweight prospect repertoire.
Twelve of his 15 career wins have come by way of knockout. When matching up with Landwehr, simply by seeing an immense amount of output coming his direction, there will be opportunities to counter. Choi will be able to generate some offensive firepower of his own, it may just come down to how well Landwehr can walk through the Korean’s power shots. Landwehr has been finished by strikes twice in his UFC career.
Landwehr vs. Choi Pick, Prediction
If Doo Ho Choi cannot land the fight-ending strike that puts Landwehr away, it’s difficult to envision a bout where Choi is winning minutes consistently. Landwehr walks the fine line between being aggressive and reckless, which in turn means Choi’s most likely win condition is an early-round finish.
Given Landwehr’s cardio edge and wrestling advantage, I believe he gets the job done excitingly on Saturday night. My first bet is Landwehr's moneyline, with a best price of -129 at BetRivers.
However, there is a second angle I am also playing to attempt to ensure this bout turns out profitably. That's Choi to pick up a knockout in the first two rounds, which is priced at +410 on FanDuel.
John's Picks:
- Nate Landwehr moneyline -129 (1.29 units) (BetRivers)
- Dooho Choi to win by KO/TKO in Rounds 1 or 2 +410 (FanDuel) for .33 unit
