Ismail Naurdiev vs. Bruno Silva Odds
Check out the Ismail Naurdiev vs. Bruno Silva odds for UFC 308 on Saturday, October 26, with my betting preview and breakdown.
Ismail Naurdiev is back in the UFC!
The question is why, though.
Naurdiev meets a fellow struggling fighter when he takes on Bruno Silva, who's faced a far superior level of opposition – but without much luck.
Is there value in this peculiar undercard booking?
Here's my Naurdiev vs. Silva pick and prediction.

Ismail Naurdiev makes his return to the big stage at UFC 308, and I cannot figure out for the life of me why.
Naurdiev is just 28, and you could see a prospect like that making a successful second run in the UFC. But after he was cut in 2020, he has been anything but impressive.
Naurdiev fought in the UFC at 170 pounds, but he's fought mostly in catchweight fights since he was cut, and he's gone 4-3 with all three losses coming by finish. In fact, two of those losses were in Round 1.
It does not appear to me that Naurdiev is making improvements, nor has he become a prospect who is beating the door down of the UFC after that kind of a run.
Yes, there are hard fights outside on the regional scene, but a 4-3 record and regularly getting finished doesn't scream “We need this guy back!” to me.
At UFC 308 on Saturday, matchmakers have given Naurdiev a tough fight at 185 pounds against veteran power striker Bruno Silva.
Silva has fallen on tough times with a 1-5 record in his past six fights, but he has been fighting a who’s who of the UFC in that time span: Alex Pereira, Geral Meerschaert, Brendan Allen, Shara Magomedov and legend Chris Weidman.
This lineup would run circles around Ismail Naurdiev and send him packing.
Naurdiev vs. Silva Pick
This fight is a 'dog-or-pass situation for me. I simply am not convinced that Ismail Naurdiev is UFC-level, and even though Silva has fallen on hard times, he hits extremely hard, he is a natural 185er, and he is getting a huge step down in competition on Saturday.
The only win that Silva has over his past six fights was against Brad Tavares, who is not on the level of the other names during that run (and frankly, he beat up Meerschaert until he fell victim to the classic "GM3" Round 3 submission).
I believe Bruno is the side, but the money continues to come in support of Naurdiev. I am going to wait for this line to peak for max value on the moneyline, but the only spot my money would go would be on the old dog.
Clint's Pick: Bruno Silva (+145 at Caesars)
