The start of the 2019 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series (MENCS) season has been good to Joe Gibbs Racing (JGR). Gibbs driver Denny Hamlin won the season-opening Daytona 500, and Martin Truex Jr. was clearly the best car at Atlanta last week before finishing runner-up to Brad Keselowski.
JGR drivers Hamlin, Kyle Busch, Erik Jones and Truex currently rank first, third, seventh and 12th, respectively, in the MENCS points standings through two races. In fact, Busch and Jones are the only two drivers to score top-10 finishes in each of the first two races of the season.
Responding to a tweet from Jones regarding their current top-10 streaks, Busch offered Jones a wager surrounding which driver can keep the streak alive the longest, and Jones quickly accepted the challenge.
Oh yeah I’m in.

The JGR drivers have $100 on the line for whoever can keep the streak going, and Busch has to be the favorite. Kyle finished second and seventh in two MENCS races at Las Vegas last season, while Jones ended up eighth and 40th.
At the time of writing, Busch is listed at +500 at the Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook to win Sunday's Pennzoil 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, just behind race favorite Kevin Harvick (+450).
Jones is currently +2000, tied with Clint Bowyer, Kurt Busch and Aric Almirola.
