It didn't take long for NASCAR to postpone its biggest race due to an ugly Daytona 500 weather forecast.

Rain already washed out Saturday's XFINITY Series race, which is now scheduled to start at 11 a.m. ET on Monday, and left NASCAR little choice but to postpone the Daytona 500 until Monday at 4 p.m. ET as well.

With heavy precipitation expected throughout the day and into Sunday night, what does that mean for Monday's Daytona 500 weather forecast?

Are we good to go for Monday? Or will we still be dodging raindrops?

Let's answer those very questions right now.

Thankfully, the Daytona 500 weather forecast for Monday looks much more promising.

There's just a 20% chance of rain, according to the National Weather Service, with high temperatures in the low 60s and winds of 10-15 mph.

Considering that NASCAR has two races to run, the track needs to be dry and race-ready by late morning as well.

The hourly breakdown for Daytona International Speedway shows just a 17% chance of rain as of 7 a.m. ET Monday, which then dips to 7% by 1 p.m. and 2% by 7 p.m..

Assuming that the rain has officially stopped by 7 a.m. ET, which is what the latest Daytona 500 weather forecast suggests, officials should have plenty of time to dry the track and turn the XFINITY Series' United Rentals 300 loose at its scheduled 11 a.m. ET start time.

According to live Daytona 500 odds as of the time of writing, Denny Hamlin is the race favorite at +900, followed by Joey Logano (+1000), Brad Keselowski (+1100) and Kyle Busch (+1200).
