I became a hardcore NASCAR fan back in 2001 and have to admit, I'm torn about where the Cup Series should be on Fourth of July weekend.
Yes, I loved the tradition of racing at Daytona — I attended the 2002 Pepsi 400 and had an absolute blast — though I'm not opposed to what NASCAR is trying to do with the streets of Chicago.
No matter what your personal opinion is, the fact is that NASCAR is racing through downtown Chicago for Sunday's Grant Park 165 (4:30 p.m. ET, NBC), and as bettors, we frankly don't care where the sports is racing — all we worry about is value.
Shane van Gisbergen (+170) is the Grant Park 165 favorite based on live NASCAR odds, with Kyle Larson (+350), Ty Gibbs (+600), Tyler Reddick (+750) and Christopher Bell (+800) rounding out the top five.
I'm passing on the outright market altogether, but do like a top-1o prop for the Grant Park 165 at Chicago this Sunday.

Daniel Suarez has been a very solid road course racer in the Next Gen car, earning his first career Cup Series victory at Sonoma back in 2022.
The driver of the No. 99 Chevrolet has also been fast this weekend in Chicago, posting the eight-best five lap average in Saturday's practice.
Further, Suarez qualified ninth for Sunday's race, earning that all-important track position for the Grant Park 165.
I don't believe Suarez will be a contender to win, but the combination of what looks like a fast car in race trim and a good starting position is enough to entice me to lock in a top-10 finish at +170 odds (Fanatics).
