NASCAR odds for Las Vegas have Kyle Larson as the South Point 400 favorite, and it's not close.
Larson is currently listed at +360, with Tyler Reddick (+525), Christopher Bell (+625), Denny Hamlin (+650), Martin Truex Jr. (+1000) and William Byron (+1200) listed behind him.
With Larson eating up so much of the implied probability pie for today's South Point 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway (2:30 p.m. ET, NBC), what is the smartest bet based on updated NASCAR odds?
To answer that question, here's my best NASCAR pick for Sunday's race at Las Vegas.
Best NASCAR Pick for Las Vegas
*Odds as of Sunday
I've fought it all week, but I have finally given in to taking Larson.
The Hendrick Motorsports driver has absolutely dominated at Las Vegas of late, posting the best driver rating, the most laps led, and most fast laps since the start of the 2023 season.
In addition, Larson has finished second, first and first over that span.
Yeah, pretty good.
More impressive is that Larson has also swept Stages 1 and 2 in each of the last two Cup Series at Las Vegas, showing just how dominant the No. 5 Chevrolet has been at this track.
This car appears to have picked up right where it left off as well, qualifying fifth for today's race while tying for the fastest 15-lap average in practice with teammate Chase Elliott.
Great starting position, solid pit stall and a fast car in race trim at a track he's dominated in recent history?
At this point, I just can't help myself even at the short +360 price tag.
