Race two of the NASCAR Cup Series playoffs takes place at Watkins Glen International for Sunday's Go Bowling at the Glen (3 p.m. ET, USA).
Martin Truex Jr. (+500) is the race favorite, according to live NASCAR odds at bet365 with Shane Van Gisbergen (+600), Ross Chastain (+700), Kyle Larson (+800) and Tyler Reddick (+800).
I typically don't take favorites in these columns – I'm more of a props bettor, myself – but when it comes to Van Gisbergen this weekend, I just can't help it this weekend.
Updated NASCAR Odds, Best Bet Pick for Watkins Glen
*Odds as of Sunday morning
While not a full-time Cup Series driver, Van Gisbergen – also known as "SVG" – is an absolute monster on road courses, like Watkins Glen.
SVG already notched a win at the Chicago Road Course in his Cup Series debut last year while tacking on three more road course wins in this XFINITY Series this season.
He's also a three-time Supercars champion, a series where tire management matters, which is key considering the softer tire that is expected to fall off up to three seconds his weekend at Watkins Glen.
And finally, SVG was lightning quick in practice – ranking third in five-lap average and fifth in 10-lap average – before qualifying third in the No. 16 Kaulig Chevy.
Please note that SVG's price does vary from +400 (BetMGM) to +650 (ESPN Bet), so, as always, be sure to shop for the best NASCAR odds if tailing this NASCAR pick for Sunday's Go Bowling at the Glen at Watkins Glen International.
