Following a gorgeous afternoon last weekend in Daytona, NASCAR weather is once again a hot topic ahead of Sunday's Pala Casino 400 (3:30 p.m. ET, FOX) at Auto Club Speedway.
Rain and snow, yes snow, washed out all track activity on Saturday, including Cup Series practice, qualifying and the XFINITY Series race. So what does the latest NASCAR weather forecast for Auto Club have in store for Sunday?
Let's take a look.
NASCAR Weather Forecast
According to the National Weather Service, the updated NASCAR weather forecast for Auto Club Speedway shows a 20% chance of rain falling in Fontana, Calif., on Sunday afternoon.
While the conditions will be cloudy and cool with a high temperature of 48 degrees, it should, at the very least, be relatively dry today.
In the off chance that there is rain that forces NASCAR to delay the Pala Casino 400, Auto Club Speedway does have lights, so there is an opportunity to push the race back to allow the track to dry.
The Cup Series will certainly take precedence on Sunday, but Saturday's postponed XFINITY Series race is scheduled to go green at 8 p.m. ET as well, which could certainly factor into any decisions NASCAR makes.
And for those wondering, Sunday's Cup Series race will be official at the halfway mark, which is after 100 laps of the scheduled 200 laps have been completed.
According to live NASCAR odds, Kyle Larson is the Pala Casino 400 favorite at +650 odds, followed by Hendrick Motorsports teammate Chase Elliott (+700), Denny Hamlin (+800), Kyle Busch (+950) and Ryan Blaney (+1000) at FanDuel Sportsbook.
