Rain has already had a significant impact on NASCAR at Charlotte this holiday weekend.
Wet weather washed out the XFINITY Series race and Cup Series practice and qualifying on Saturday, then forced NASCAR to postpone Sunday's Coca-Cola 600, setting up a racing doubleheader on Monday.
The XFINITY Series race, which did get started earlier today, has been postponed once again due to rain and will resume after Monday night's Coca-Cola 600.
However, there is a chance that we will still be dodging rain today in Charlotte, so let's go ahead and take a detailed look at the NASCAR weather forecast for Monday.
NASCAR Weather Forecast for Monday
According to the National Weather Service, NASCAR should finally have a dry day to run its races at Charlotte.
A high of 70 degrees is expected on Monday, and, most importantly, there's just a 20% chance of rain, though that percentage does increase to 30% this evening.
There is an opportunity for isolated showers to pop up around Charlotte Motor Speedway today, though the chances are slim.
If we dig deeper into the the NASCAR weather forecast, the hourly breakdown is even more promising.
The chances of rain are between 12-16% for most of the morning and early afternoon before increasing to 29% at 5 p.m. ET.
However, at that point the chances dip back down to 15%, then remain below 10% for the rest of the night.
When the green flag finally does wave at Charlotte, Kyle Larson will be the race favorite at +350 NASCAR odds, followed by William Byron (+700), Denny Hamlin (+800), Chase Elliott (+900) and Kyle Busch (+900).
