Auburn vs Georgia Tech College Baseball Betting Preview
Our first pick is on the best matchup of the night, as the No. 11 Auburn Tigers face off against the No. 18 Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets.
Auburn comes into this matchup with some momentum regained after winning its series over Alabama last weekend to bounce back from a sweep at the hands of Georgia.
The Tigers hit well against a talented Crimson Tide staff, outscoring them 23-10. However, they'll need all the thunder they can get if they want to keep up with the red-hot Yellow Jackets.
Georgia Tech has slugged its way into the national spotlight after a dominant sweep of Stanford this past weekend. Over the course of the series, Tech outscored Stanford 36-11.
That performance was just the latest in what has been an incredible season. The Yellow Jackets rank second in team batting average, fourth in OPS and 13th in wRC+.
Tonight, they'll face Auburn starter Christian Chatterson, who holds a 6.67 ERA through seven outings this season.
However, the Tigers can't be counted out. Their lineup is also daunting and doesn't sit far behind the Yellow Jackets in the aforementioned statistical categories.
Also, the Auburn lineup may have a better matchup with Georgia Tech opener Sam Swygert. Swygert isn't overpowering and holds a 4.70 ERA in 10 appearances this season.
Ultimately, these lineups should trade haymakers and light up the scoreboard while going over the total.
Pick: Over 14 (-120)
