With first pitch fast approaching, it's time to take a look at Florida vs. Florida State and North Carolina vs. South Carolina.

Florida vs. Florida State Pick
This will be the second midweek meeting between the Florida Gators and the No. 4 Florida State Seminoles. Just two weeks ago, the Gators went into Tallahassee and came out with an impressive 7-2 victory.
Florida earned its victory through impressive pitching, and that will be the theme of tonight's rematch. Only this time, the Seminoles may have the upper hand.
John Abraham is set to open this game for the Seminoles, and he's been solid through 12 appearances. He comes in with a 3.65 ERA and a strikeouts-per-nine rate of 13.1.
The only concern with Abraham is his command, as he's averaging nearly six walks per nine innings. However, the good thing is he won't be trusted for much length and is backed by a dynamite Florida State staff.
FSU has been tremendous on the hill, ranking fifth in team ERA, fourth in WHIP and sixth in SIERA. Yes, it's facing a formidable Florida lineup, but the Gators have scuffled lately, ranking 206th in team batting average and 151st in wOBA over their last seven games.
On the other side of this matchup, the Gators' bullpen will need a repeat performance because they may need to clean up a first-inning mess from McCall Beimiller.
Beimiller will open this game, and he hasn't found much success, holding a 7.20 ERA and averaging nine walks per nine over just five innings pitched this season.
Although, like the Seminoles, the Gators' staff has been excellent. Florida's pen is due for a decent amount of positive regression. Its staff ERA sits at 5.22, but its team FIP is 4.36, and its SIERA comes in at 3.67.
This bullpen game should be full of successful relief appearances to keep this one under the total.
Pick: Under 14 (-120)
UNC vs. South Carolina Pick
Pitching matchups are often hard to find for midweek matchups, and the market tends to move on numbers for the pitching staff as a whole.
However, the initial market movement for this matchup between the North Carolina Tar Heels and South Carolina Gamecocks has created value on the Tar Heels, who opened as a sizable favorite.
I'm buying the Tar Heels back at their current price, as they have a decided edge on the mound in this matchup.
North Carolina will send Cameron Padgett to the mound, and he comes into this start with a 4.76 ERA and 1.35 WHIP through 17 innings.
His numbers are tremendous compared to Brendan Sweeney, who's getting the ball for South Carolina. Sweeney has had a rough going in nine appearances this year, sporting a 9.00 ERA, 2.13 WHIP and a 7.9 walks-per-nine rate
While Sweeney may only go one inning, his success in his outing is a big question mark. When it comes to relievers, the Tar Heels' staff is a step above the Gamecocks'.
Look for the Tar Heels to get the bats going early and protect their lead throughout this one as they emerge with a road victory.
Pick: UNC ML -160
