We had a successful Tuesday slate, going 2-0 and avoiding the midweek madness. Now, it's time to carry that momentum over to Friday's slate, where two SEC teams present some value.

First, I'm taking a look at the Tennessee vs. Oklahoma State run line before backing the underdog in South Carolina vs. Clemson.

Let's dive into my college baseball picks and NCAA baseball predictions for the games on Friday, Feb. 28.

The No. 3-ranked Tennessee Volunteers come into their opening matchup of the 2025 Astros Foundation College Classic as the favorites to win the College World Series.

They're undefeated through eight games and have looked nothing short of impressive.

A big reason why is the man set to take the ball this afternoon, Liam Doyle.

Doyle has been lights-out, pitching to a 0.94 BAA and 0.87 ERA through two starts. An even more staggering nugget is that he's struck out 25 of the 31 batters he's faced this season.

He gives the Vols a massive edge on the mound and should contain an Oklahoma State lineup that has plenty of talent but has yet to show much consistency.

While the Cowboys' bats will have their hands full with Doyle, Oklahoma State's biggest concern should be with its own pitcher.

Gabe Davis is set to make his second start of the season, and he's yet to look sharp. Davis enters this outing with a 5.06 ERA. While he's due for some positive regression, it's hard to see it coming today against this daunting Tennessee lineup.

The Vols have done nothing but mash, leading the country in OPS and wOBA while ranking sixth in wRC+. This lineup supporting Doyle is a mismatch for many teams, and Tennessee should win decidedly this afternoon.

Pick: Tennessee -1.5 (-129)

We have an early-season rivalry brewing in South Carolina, as the No. 17 Clemson Tigers play host to the South Carolina Gamecocks.

Clemson has lived up to its "Cardiac Clemson" nickname in the early going, as we've seen it come from behind and narrowly escape losses already this season.

However, the Tigers can't afford to slip up tonight against the Gamecocks. South Carolina has come out the gate red-hot, starting 9-0 while taking care of weaker opposition.

The Gamecocks appear poised to give the Tigers their toughest test yet, as Dylan Eskew has the stuff and experience to match Aidan Knaak on the mound.

Then, at the dish, the Gamecocks are seeing the ball well. They outrank the Tigers in wRC+, OPS and strikeout rate.

South Carolina is being severely undervalued in this series opener and is primed to pull off the upset.

Pick: South Carolina ML +155
