All eyes turn to Omaha this weekend as the College World Series gets underway on Friday. A new champion will be crowned after reigning champ LSU was eliminated in a heartbreaker last week.

So, who will take home this year’s title?

One thing we know is that the champion will come from either the ACC or SEC. All eight schools competing in Omaha hail from those two conferences, with Florida State, North Carolina, NC State and Virginia making it from the ACC and Florida, Kentucky, Tennessee and Texas A&M hailing from the SEC. Four schools making it from a single conference ties the College World Series record.

Top-seeded Tennessee is favored to win it all this year at +250, according to BetMGM. They also have 12.6% of all tickets and a massive 21.9% of handle, presenting a major liability for sportsbooks. The next closest is third-seeded Texas A&M (who has the second-best odds at +350) with 7.7% of tickets and 9.9% of handle.

Meanwhile, Florida is this year’s Cinderella as it's the only unseeded school to make it to Omaha. Unsurprisingly, they’re the biggest long shot at +1600. However, the Gators do boast a strong pedigree. They were ranked No. 2 in the country during the preseason and were the national runners-up a year ago.
