Oklahoma State vs Georgia Pick
It has been going as planned in the Athens Regional, as Duke took care of the host Georgia Bulldogs and ace Brian Curley yesterday to advance to the Regional final.
I have futures on the Blue Devils and Cowboys, specifically because of Georgia's lack of starting depth, and they're far from off the ropes this afternoon against Oklahoma State.
The Cowboys bashed their way to this matchup after getting crushed by Duke on Friday. Somehow, they've made it to Sunday with their best starter, Harrison Bodendorf, set to get the ball.
Bodendorf has not only emerged as the ace of the Cowboys staff but has been one of the better arms in the country, posting a 2.43 ERA and a 1.o1 WHIP while going 10-1 this season.
Yes, this will arguably be the most formidable lineup he's faced in a while, but he's more than up to the task. His ability to contain Georgia's bats gives Oklahoma State a ton of value at its current price.
The Bulldogs, meanwhile, have burned through their quality options and are likely to hand the ball to JT Quinn to open this game.
Quinn has decent numbers with a 2.25 ERA and a 1.09 WHIP. However, the bullpen behind him isn't in shape to carry the load, as they need to win three straight if they want to make it out of their own region.
Back the Cowboys to eliminate the Bulldogs this afternoon.
Pick: Oklahoma State ML +150
Northeastern vs Mississippi State Pick
Northeastern gets another shot at Mississippi State after the Bulldogs won, 11-2, on Friday. However, this time around, the Huskies have an ace up their sleeve with Aiven Cabral getting the ball.
Cabral put together a great 2025 campaign, pitching to a 2.74 ERA and a 0.97 WHIP in 15 starts. Cabral isn't going to overpower hitters, but his excellent command gives him the ability to work efficiently through lineups.
On the other side of this matchup, Mississippi State is giving the ball to Evan Siary, who's shown the potential to be lights out, averaging nearly 12 strikeouts per nine innings. However, Siary's length is a question mark, as he's thrown just 48 pitches over 14 appearances.
The Bulldogs had to use three arms to put out the fire after Florida State knocked around Pico Kohn. So, the Huskies may have the bullpen edge, and statistically, they boasted the best bullpen in the country this season.
Back Northeastern to exact revenge on Mississippi State today.
Pick: Northeastern ML +115
