Loyola (IL) Ramblers 2021-22 Season
Loyola is a much different team since their Sweet Sixteen appearance in 2021 and Final Four appearance in 2018–– but that doesn’t mean success isn’t still there. Porter Moser may have skipped town to coach OU, but the Ramblers are in second place in the Missouri Valley conference and have a 22-7 overall record going into conference tournament play.
If they win the conference tournament, coach Drew Valentine will secure the Ramblers another NCAA Tournament bid in his first season leading the team. This team has Final Four experience and would be a tough team to play in March.

Betting on the Loyola Ramblers
The Loyola Ramblers have some tough matchups remaining in the season, so be sure to pay close attention to the odds. Here are some of the popular bet types that you can make on the Ramblers if you live in a legal sports betting state.
- Moneyline
- Point Spread
- Over/Under
- Props
- Futures Odds
Loyola Moneyline
A moneyline bet requires a bettor to correctly pick the winner of the game. If you pick the winner of the game correctly, you will win the bet. How much you win will be determined by your wager amount and the associated moneyline for the team you bet on. Here's an example using a recent Loyola game against Auburn.
- Loyola +125 moneyline
- Auburn -150 moneyline
Auburn is the favored team to win this game, which is indicated by the minus sign (-) next to their moneyline. Loyola is the underdog denoted by the plus sign (+) next to their moneyline. The moneyline number signifies the potential payout for each team. Someone betting on Auburn would have to bet $150 to win $100 whereas a bettor would win $125 with a wager of $100 on Loyola.
Loyola Point Spread
Users can also place a point spread wager on the Loyola Ramblers. This requires a bettor to correctly select the margin of victory by a particular team, rather than simply who wins. Here's the same Loyola vs. Auburn matchup as an example.
- Loyola -2.5 (-110)
- Auburn +2.5 (-110)
Oddsmakers set a margin of victory total known as the spread. In this game, Auburn has to win by 3 or more points to beat this spread and Northwestern either has to win the game outright or lose by 2 points or less to beat the spread. Point spreads also have an additional element known as juice, or the vig, which is the tax paid to the sportsbook for each bet. The juice is indicated next to the point spread. This number is used to determine a wager payout. For a bet on Auburn, a bettor would earn a profit of $100 for every $110 risked. Someone betting on Loyola would earn a profit of $100 for every $110 risked.
Loyola Over/Unders
Betting on over/under totals looks at the cumulative final score between two teams, not the winner or loser of the game. Bettors are required to accurately predict if the teams combine higher or lower than a number set by oddsmakers. Oddsmakers set the over/under total for Loyola vs. Auburn at 145.5 points.
- Over 145.5 points (-110)
- Under 145.5 points (-110)
Again, juice or vig comes into play with over/unders. Betting over 140 points means in this case that a bettor would have to wager $110 to earn $100. Betting under 140 points would mean a bettor would earn $100 for every $110 risked.
Loyola Prop Bets
For those Loyola fans that have a particular favorite player, prop bets are a great way to show your support. Oddsmakers will also set lines on player statistics. Bettors then have the opportunity to guess whether those players will go over or under the set line to win money. Some popular prop bets include how many points a player will score, who will score first, how many rebounds a player gets, and many more.
How to Bet on Loyola
Sports betting is currently legal in Illinois! Online sports bettors will be required to register in-person at a sportsbook through March 5, 2022. After March 5th, though, bettors will be able to register for a sportsbook of their choosing fully online. The state has numerous operators taking bets online, including Caesars Sportsbook. Check out our Caesars Promo Code page and use The Action Network's exclusive promo code “ACTIONCZR” to get up to a $1,500 deposit match with a deposit of $50 or more.
Illinois’ sports betting laws on college teams are tricky. Betting on in-state college teams in Illinois is only legal for in-person pregame wagers and they’re limited to outcomes of the games, not individual players’ performances.

Loyola Future Odds
If you like the Ramblers' odds to make the Final Four or win the NCAA Tournament, take a look at futures odds . A futures bet is wager for an event happening in the later in the season. Because a futures bet can be really hard to predict, the payouts are much higher than a typical wager. The Ramblers are currently +2500 to make the Final Four and +15000 to win the NCAA Tournament (odds via PointsBet Sportsbook) – check out our PointsBet Promo Code page and sign up with ACTION2K1 to claim $2,200 in risk-free bets.
