Gonzaga vs Texas odds have the Longhorns laying 5.5 points Friday night in the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Women's Tournament. The winner of this game will take on the winner of the NC State vs. Stanford matchup.

Road to the Sweet 16:
- First Round vs. No. 13 seed UC Irvine: W 75-56 (UC Irvine +23 | Over 127.5)
- Second Round vs. No. 5 seed Utah: W 77-66 (Gonzaga -1.5 | Under 144.5)
The Gonzaga Bulldogs got off to shaky starts in both of their first two games at home.
They trailed UC Irvine by double digits early in the opening round and were down seven early to Utah. The Utes — after having a disaster second quarter against South Dakota State — did the same in round two as their offense dried up after the first 10 minutes at Gonzaga. Meanwhile, the Bulldogs proceeded to make their next nine 3-point attempts.
Shooting 12-of-22 from 3 on the night is a nice recipe for surviving and advancing, but they'll have to replicate that shooting and clean up on the defensive end against a balanced Texas team.
Road to the Sweet 16:
- First Round vs. No. 16 seed Drexel: W 82-42 (Texas -34.5 | Over 121.5)
- Second Round vs. No. 8 seed Alabama: W 65-54 (Alabama +15.5 | Under 139.5)
Texas looked incredible defensively per usual. The No. 3-ranked team in the country in terms of defensive rating, the Longhorns held both teams under 25% from 3.
Freshman sensation Madison Booker dished out 14 assists in the first round and poured in 21 points in the second round in front of Texas legend Kevin Durant, who had high praise for the rookie at Texas also wearing No. 35.

Gonzaga vs. Texas
Betting Pick & Prediction
This is a super interesting matchup, and while Texas is absolutely the better team, Gonzaga does have the personnel to make this very close.
Texas is 1-3 this year when giving up nine or more 3s and 27-1 when holding teams to less than nine 3s. Gonzaga averages more than nine made 3s per game. If Texas doesn’t come out focused on stopping the 3, this could get dangerous for the Longhorns. With the small amount of 3s they take per game, they aren’t the most equipped team to play from behind. I would expect Gonzaga to run a lot of zone, force Texas to shoot 3s and do its best to rebound.
I’m trusting Vic Schaefer and the Longhorns to guard the 3 and take care of business. If you have the opportunity to live bet, I would absolutely look to grab Gonzaga +11.5 or +10.5. This game should end in that 6-10 point range.
