It appears that Jake Paul won’t be Mike Tyson’s last fight after all. His next opponent will be the online casino platform Rabona.com.

UK-based Medier, which promotes the Curacao-licensed Rabona, claims the boxing legend neglected his duties as their brand ambassador. They argue he prioritized preparing for his controversial post-retirement fight with influencer Jake Paul over fulfilling his obligations to them.

Numerous reports reveal that affiliate Medier has sued the former professional boxer and his company, Tyrannic, for approximately $1.6 million.

What The Lawsuit Against Tyson Alleges

Medier alleges that Tyson broke their promotional agreement with a gambling company on the day his fight with Jake Paul was announced in March. This breach supposedly cost Medier a significant amount of money, and they claim the fight announcement distracted Tyson, which allegedly caused him to blow off, and violate the contract.

On the other hand, Tyson’s team argues that Medier repeatedly violated their agreement, allowing them to terminate the contract rightfully. Tyson claimed the deal fell through due to the breach of the agreement by Medier, but Medier has denied the claim.

Tyson and Tyrannic have yet to file a defense to the lawsuit.

It Wasn’t Always Like This

The lawsuit seems to signal a rocky conclusion to Tyson’s partnership with Rabona, marking a stark contrast to the enthusiastic beginnings.

In February, an online sports betting operator appointed the boxing legend as its brand ambassador. The company stated at the time, “Mike Tyson brings his unparalleled charisma and passion to Rabona's players. Going beyond his illustrious boxing career and celebrated podcast, Tyson will engage fans through monthly livestreams. These streams will not only showcase Mike Tyson playing (Rabona's) online casino games but may also feature him sharing his expertise and recounting exclusive stories from his storied career.”

Tyson even announced this collaboration on his Instagram on February 5. The post has since been taken down, but it was supposed to set the stage for a series of unique opportunities for Rabona users, including exclusive giveaways, and bonus plays.

Tyson Reportedly Made Millions From Jake Paul Fight

Tyson is 58 years old, and the fight he had with Paul is his first official professional boxing match since 2005. Tyson and Paul faced off on November 15 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. The fight, which streamed live on Netflix, ended with Paul winning by unanimous decision, improving his career record to 11-1.

Although Tyson is a former multi-time world heavyweight champion and considered one of the all-time greats, his age was evident in the eight-round match. He started strong in the first two rounds but struggled later on.

Some reports claim that "Iron" Mike earned as much as $20 million for his fight against Paul. Now we'll see if this latest fight with the online gaming operator will cost him some.
