The Caesars Poker Room is one of the most popular poker destinations in Las Vegas. However, it has been closed since August. Many professional and recreational poker players have been asking about its return. We will share updates as more information becomes available.

Caesars Poker Room Closure Details

The Caesars Poker Room was temporarily closed for a 2-3 month period, starting in August 2024, as part of a casino project that included the remodeling of slot machines. During this time, the high roller slot area occupied the former poker room space. Poker, meanwhile, is currently unavailable at this top Vegas casino.

The renovation period has passed, and the poker room remains closed as of December 2024. There is currently no update on when the Caesars Poker Room will reopen.

It's been months without a statement from Caesars and it seems like a safe bet that the room will be closed through early 2025. There's also a chance it never opens back up, and the high roller section stays in that space permanently.

Other Las Vegas Poker Room Closures

Caesars Poker Room could join the list of Las Vegas casinos opting to replace poker rooms with slots or table games. Some legendary Las Vegas strip poker rooms — like Mirage, Excalibur, Flamingo and Harrah's — have recently stopped offering PLO and Texas Hold’em.

Las Vegas Poker Room Alternatives

Caesars Poker Room was at the top of the list of places to play in Las Vegas, but there are other options to try on the Strip and Fremont Street.

If you are looking for a poker room on the Strip, you should consider playing at Horseshoe Casino, Mandalay Bay, MGM Grand, Wynn, Aria or the Bellagio, which features daily poker tournaments, as well as No Limit Texas Hold’em, Limit Hold’em, Pot Limit Omaha, Omaha Eight or Better cash games.

If you are looking for a poker room on Fremont Street, you should consider playing at the Golden Nugget Casino. South Point and Westgate are also good options, where you will find lots of different PLO and Texas Hold'em cash games running at all hours of the day.

Online Poker Room Alternatives

There are also online options to try if you live in Michigan, New Jersey, Nevada or Pennsylvania. The top online poker sites — WSOP, BetMGM, Poker Stars and others — allow you to play against others in Texas Hold’em and PLO on your mobile device or laptop.

Other Caesars Properties Offerings

If you plan on staying at Caesars or want to check out the casino, there are other wagering options. There are numerous slot machines that feature progressive jackpots, high roller options and high RTP games. However, they also feature lots of table games like baccarat, blackjack and roulette, if you would prefer to not play slots.

The Caesars property has additional features in the casino, such as a huge food court with numerous restaurants and a sportsbook, where you can place wagers and watch all of your favorite sports teams.

Caesars Online Casino Offerings

Caesars in Las Vegas is one of the top casinos to play at, but if you can’t make it out, there is another option to get all the games you love if you live in West Virginia, Pennsylvania, New Jersey or Michigan — the Caesars Online Casino. You can play slots, table games, and more on your mobile device and get started with a Caesars promo code.
