Caitlin Clark's rookie season is over after the Fever were eliminated from the playoffs on Wednesday night.
Clark was the unanimous Rookie of the Year Award winner and, from a more qualitative perspective, brought in reams of fans to the WNBA since being drafted by the Fever earlier this year.
The point guard set an WNBA record for assists during her rookie season, including a league-record 19 assists during a game in July. She also set a rookie record for 3s made and was the first rookie in WNBA history to record a triple-double.
In nearly every game in which she competed, Clark held the highest player prop totals for assists and PRAs. She was also the odds on favorite to win the Rookie of the Year Award from the jump — the longest she became was roughly -500 across the market before an upward trajectory that saw her close as a heavy, -10000 favorite.
For reference, the Fever were never supposed to compete this season. Indiana had the league's worst odds to make the postseason and win the WNBA championship, so it was a feat in and of itself that Clark was able to will this team to the playoffs.
However, that's now over after a loss against the Sun closed out the three-game series. It wasn't without due effort — Clark finished her final game by going over on points, assists, rebounds and PRAs.
