There's a first for everything.
The Downtown Grand Las Vegas is making waves by introducing an unexpected twist to casino gaming and becoming the first casino in the world to offer IGT's Wheel of Fortune Video Poker game.
People have been buzzing about it for months on social media, and now it's here.
"Becoming the first casino in the world to offer IGT's Wheel of Fortune Video Poker was an exciting moment for Downtown Grand and one that generated palpable buzz and significant play on our gaming floor," said Rick Coltor, Slots Manager at the Downtown Grand Las Vegas.
According to Vegas Insider, even 40 years after its peak on the Las Vegas Strip, video poker continues to be a very popular game for gamblers.
How Does Wheel of Fortune Video Poker Work?
This unique game combines classic multi-hand video poker with the familiar elements of the Wheel of Fortune—bringing something fresh to the table for poker enthusiasts and game show fans alike.
It's drawing attention due to its integration of the puzzle-solving and wheel-spinning features familiar to fans of the TV show.

If you get a winning hand on the first deal, a random letter appears or the puzzle might get solved. Once all the letters are revealed, you can spin the wheel. Whatever amount it lands on adds to your winnings for that hand.
Players can choose from triple-play, five-play, and ten-play configurations. A royal flush could net them a hefty reward of up to 100,000 credits. While the game is a novelty in Las Vegas, which holds the title of the world's largest video poker market, it has started appearing in other casinos around the city.
"Launching IGT Wheel of Fortune Video Poker in Las Vegas, marked another important milestone in the rollout of our expanded Wheel of Fortune games portfolio," said Nick Khin, IGT President, Global Gaming.

Downtown Grand Las Vegas Has Storied History
The Downtown Grand has a history that stretches back decades.
It first opened its doors in 1964 as the Lady Luck Hotel & Casino. After a period of closure and renovation, it reopened in 2013 as the Downtown Grand Las Vegas, maintaining a hint of its old Vegas charm while aligning with modern expectations.

The transformation has only enhanced its appeal, offering guests a mix of nostalgia and a taste of new-age entertainment.
Downtown Grand's casino offerings include 25,000 square feet of gaming space with slot machines, table games, and the new Caesars Race & Sportsbook. It also features restaurants, bars, and live entertainment options.
Downtown Grand Celebrating Masters Week
Downtown Grand isn't solely banking on its gaming offerings.
In April, it hosts The DTG Open during Masters Week, a virtual driving range competition promising a VIP golf experience for a lucky few. Participants can earn points within the casino to improve their chances, adding another layer of interest beyond the standard gaming activities.
These new developments and innovations are more examples of Las Vegas's ever-changing landscape. The Downtown Grand is a place that mixes the old Vegas feel with new gaming experiences. Visitors can reminisce about the old days or try out the latest casino games, making it a special part of the city's magic.
