This is the kind of return you’d love to get on every investment, right? Especially if you're a fan of people hitting the jackpot on a nickel slot machine.

We don’t know much about who pulled this off, but the lucky slots player won over $106,000 on one spin. What’s somewhat hard to believe is that they won their jackpot after wagering $1.25. Yes, a buck and a quarter brought home six figures.

The person won the money on a Dollar Storm machine at M Resort in Henderson, Nevada. Since it is a nickel slot machine, the $1.25 bet won the person 2,120,619 nickels, which converts to $106,030.95.

So, when it was all said and done, the unidentified player won $106,031. The casino rounded up a nickel when it posted about the win on its X (formerly Twitter) account.

The post included a picture of a Dollar Storm machine, and the description reads: $106,031 Jackpot on a $1.25 bet! It also included the face screaming in fear emoji and a tornado emoji. The tornado emoji can metaphorically describe a powerful force or violent outburst.

No other information was immediately available. But it’s safe to say this lucky person had an extraordinary weekend. And this win happened just days after a historic slot machine jackpot win in Colorado.

M Resort Expansion Plan Is Underway

But the nickel slot jackpot is not the only big news coming out of the M this week.

Penn Entertainment is currently expanding M Resort with a $206 million project, 26 months after announcing plans to double the hotel's capacity.

casino guest won a slot machine jackpot of over $106,000 at the M Resort in Henderson, Nevada on a bet of only $1.25.
The growing neighborhoods near M Resort are part of the reason it is adding rooms.

The new hotel tower is already rising on the east side of the property next to the original building. The work began in December, and the expanded facilities might open by the first half of 2026.

With this expansion, Penn is increasing the total number of rooms and suites at M Resort from 390 to 774 and adding more conference space and other amenities.

M Resort is located on 93 acres, bordered by Las Vegas Boulevard to the west and St. Rose Parkway to the north.
