It's NFL Draft season and Action Network is bringing in two former quarterbacks to break down the top names in the 2024 quarterback class.
Johnny Manziel, the 2012 Heisman Trophy winner and 22nd overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, will join former NFL backup quarterback Kurt Benkert to provide in-depth analysis on the new series: Franchise Mode.
Benkert was a backup quarterback for the Green Bay Packers and played on the practice squad for the Atlanta Falcons and San Francisco 49ers. He runs a YouTube channel where he plays Madden using his knowledge from playing in the NFL. The two quarterbacks were mutuals on social media and Manziel asked Benkert to join him for this series with Action Network.
The pair will look at six different quarterbacks ahead of the 2024 NFL Draft: Caleb Williams, Jayden Daniels, J.J. McCarthy, Drake Maye, Michael Penix Jr. and Bo Nix.
Williams is the overwhelming favorite to go No. 1 in the NFL Draft with -10000 odds at DraftKings. Daniels is listed as the favorite to be the No. 2 overall pick at -165 and Maye is the favorite to be the No. 3 overall pick at -130 odds.
McCarthy is +175 to land at No. 4 behind favorite Marvin Harrison Jr. at -175, but McCarthy is -200 to land in the top five, according to DraftKings. Penix Jr. and Nix are +105 and +120 respectively to be taken in the first round.
