Well, one visitor from Toronto may be spending a few extra days on the Las Vegas Strip after hitting a mega jackpot for over $736,000 while playing Ultimate Texas Hold’em.
The man, who is only being identified as Donald C., came down from the Great White North to play a little poker at Caesars Palace, and it paid off nicely.
The casino even posted a picture of Donald with his winning hand laid out in front of him.

When it was all said and done, Donald C. hit a mega progressive jackpot on Ultimate Texas Hold’em that was good for $736,688, according to a casino spokesperson.
Donald’s win comes on the heels of another big Ultimate Texas Hold’em win at Rio earlier this week.
How Progressive Payouts Work in Ultimate Texas Hold’em
According to the Caesars Palace website, the optional $5 progressive bet wins if players have three of a kind or better.
The top award, which is what Donald C. won, is 100% of the Mega jackpot. That's paid out when a player has a royal flush.
If a player has a straight flush, they win 100% of the Major jackpot. If a player has four of a kind, they win 100% of the Minor jackpot.
The top two hands trigger Envy bonuses. In Caesars Palace's Ultimate Texas Hold'em, the Envy Bonus is a payout awarded when another player at the table achieves a top hand, such as a royal flush or straight flush. Players who have placed the progressive side wager qualify for this bonus. If multiple players qualify, each receives an Envy Bonus.
The player with the winning hand only collects the standard prize payout, and a player can win multiple Envy bonuses in a round, but cannot envy their own hand or the dealer’s.
Many casinos offer a progressive jackpot that players can win with high-ranking hands like a straight flush, adding an exciting bonus feature to the game. Just remember to always gamble responsibly.
