The announcement also came from Doug Polk on YouTube. He is a well-known American poker player and co-owner of The Lodge.
"I think these two men have a playstyle that will fit nicely with The Lodge Card Club ownership group," Polk said in the video.

Doug Polk isn't just a professional poker player; he is a formidable presence in the poker community with tournament earnings exceeding $10.5 million.
Beyond the green felt, Polk is recognized for his outspoken commentary on the game, using platforms such as his YouTube channel, Doug Polk Poker, and the Doug Polk Podcast, to reach a wide audience.
In his announcement video, Polk described the new investors as "two of the largest personalities in poker today, and they certainly make things more entertaining." He also said that "Poker is a game that you need to generate interest in the game itself in order for viewers to enjoy their experiences and feel compelled to root for their heroes."
