PrizePicks announced Thursday it has been awarded daily fantasy sports operator licenses in the states of Missouri and Delaware, raising the number of states where it has obtained licenses to 15.
PrizePicks will offer Arena, its peer-to-peer fantasy sports contest, in both states. Arena was launched in January, and the licenses awarded in the two states comes after PrizePicks was also licensed to offer Arena in New Hampshire in August. Players have built more than 20 million lineups in peer-to-peer play in Arena since launch.
“We are proud that Arena has been approved in every state where it has been submitted. We’ve seen strong player adoption to date and we look forward to replicating our success in these new markets with a fun gaming experience,” said PrizePicks CEO Mike Ybarra in a statement. “We’d like to extend our gratitude to the Delaware Division of Gaming Enforcement, the Delaware Lottery, and the Missouri Gaming Commission for their thoughtful collaboration.”
About PrizePicks
PrizePicks has two main offerings, a single-player fantasy contest in which players make between two and six picks; Arena, which is a peer-to-peer fantasy contest in which players make similar picks to the single fantasy contest and are put in groups based on entry fee and skill level.
It also has a free-to-play streak contest in which players make a pick based on one stat type daily. Based on the length of the streak, players have the opportunity to win an entry fee into either a single-fantasy or Arena contest.
