According to Harrah’s website, The optional $1 progressive bet wins if you have a Straight or better. If you receive an Ace-King-Queen of spades, you win 100% of the progressive jackpot.
This win was reminiscent of another massive three-card poker jackpot win at Harrah's Cherokee Casino Resort.
How Do You Play 3 Card Poker?
3 Card Poker is a popular casino table game that combines elements of traditional poker with the simplicity and speed of casino card games. Invented in the mid-1990s by Derek Webb, this game is designed to provide players with an engaging experience and a higher frequency of wins compared to standard poker.
The game is played using a standard 52-card deck, and the goal is to get a better three-card hand than the dealer. Players start by placing an "Ante" bet. An optional "Pair Plus" side bet can also be placed, where players bet on whether they will receive a pair or better in their hand.
Each player, including the dealer, is dealt three cards. Once the players examine their cards, they have the choice to either fold, forfeit their Ante bet, or continue by placing a "Play" bet equal to the Ante. After all the players have made their decisions, the dealer reveals their hand.
To qualify, the dealer must have a Queen-high hand or better. If the dealer does not qualify, all remaining Ante bets are paid out at even money, while Play bets are returned. If the dealer's hand qualifies, it is compared to the players' hands. Winning hands, whether from higher poker rankings or the Pair Plus bet, are paid out according to predefined pay tables.
The simplicity of 3 Card Poker, coupled with various betting options, makes it an appealing choice for both novice and experienced gamblers.
