A couple of Christmas miracles happened in the days leading up to Santa’s big day. Two people hit two massive jackpots just days apart at the same casino.
Both wins occurred at Sky River Casino in Elk Grove, California.
A Stockton man won $748,000 on the Monopoly Cash Wheel slot machine. Then four days later a Sacramento man took home another $239,000 after playing Texas Hold'em.
“With two life-changing jackpot wins totaling nearly $1 million, it is a lucky time to come,” said Sky River Casino President Michael J. Facenda in a press release. “It’s truly a magical time of year! We look forward to continuing to celebrate the holiday season with guests near and far who can enjoy our festive and fun promotions, exciting gaming, and unparalleled dining experiences,” he added.
$748,000 Jackpot Won on Monopoly
Although the winner wants to remain anonymous, in the moments after the Stockton man’s big Monopoly Cash Wheel win, a casino representative snapped a photo of an oversized check. It showed the prize amount and was resting against the winning slot machine.
The casino posted the image on its Facebook page.
They included the caption “CHA-CHING! One lucky Blue Card member was definitely on the Nice List this year! They hit a $748,113 jackpot while playing Monopoly Cash Wheel.”
Texas Hold’em Winner From Sacramento
The man who won $239,000 playing Texas Hold'em is from Sacramento. His poker strategy clearly worked.
He wanted to remain anonymous too, but the casino posted a photo on its Facebook page that shows the dealer holding a mock check over his face with winnings totaling $239,818.
“A Royal Flush during the holidays!,” Sky River wrote in the social media post’s description. “Congratulations to the lucky winner from Sacramento who’s taking home over $239,000 playing Ultimate Texas Hold'em!”
Texas Hold'em is a popular poker game in which players aim to form the best five-card hand using a mix of personal and community cards.

In addition to the two massive jackpots, Sky River spread even more holiday cheer by highlighting 10 additional winners who took home prizes ranging from $19,000 to over $42,000.
