The Strat has had enough of that.  The famed Las Vegas casino is ready to give some of the advantage back to the players.

The Strat Hotel, Casino & Tower is making waves by prioritizing player satisfaction through more favorable gaming options.

According to a report by the Las Vegas Review-Journal, the casino expanded the number of 3:2 blackjack tables on its main floor, hoping to enhance the gaming experience for its players.

Skylar Dice, Senior Vice President and General Manager of The Strat, told the paper that these changes are in response to customer feedback and are all about delivering fun and engaging experiences for their players.

Why The Strat Is Adding More Player-Friendly Games

This decision reflects a growing trend among Las Vegas casinos to move away from the less favorable 6:5 blackjack tables, which are commonplace on the Strip and downtown.

This change is great news for blackjack players. With the 3:2 payout, if your first two cards total 21, you win $3 for every $2 you bet. This payout is better for players because you lose less money over time. In a 6:5 payout, you only get $1.20 for every $1 you bet, which gives the casino a bigger edge.

The Palms Casino-Hotel has revamped its blackjack rules to favor players. It made a similar shift to 3:2 tables on Valentine’s Day.

Single-Zero Roulette Tables Also Available

In addition to blackjack, The Strat launched single-zero roulette tables last year. These tables offer better odds than the traditional double-zero roulette and are also more player-friendly.

So what's the difference?

What many call "European roulette" is played on a wheel with 37 numbers and only one zero. The payouts are the same as in American roulette, but with just one zero, the casino's advantage drops to 2.70% on all bets.

Single-zero roulette cuts the house edge to 1/37, or 2.70%, on all bets.

Calling it European roulette isn't entirely accurate because single-zero roulette is available worldwide. In the U.S., especially in Las Vegas, you'll often see tables with double or triple zeros, known as American roulette. Many players don't like these because the house advantage is much higher than European roulette. In the U.S., you can usually find single-zero roulette in some high-limit rooms.

In addition to single-zero roulette and 3:2 blackjack, The Strat stands out as the only casino on Las Vegas Boulevard to provide 10-times odds at its craps tables, further enhancing its gaming offerings.

6:5 Blackjack Still Being Offered at The Strat

Dice emphasized the importance of listening to loyal guests and bringing changes that are aligned with the casino's commitment to fun and entertainment. “People are coming here to have a good time. It’s supposed to be fun, and we want to position the Strat as a place where gamers go to game,” Dice explained.

However, The Strat does not completely eliminate the 6:5 blackjack or double-zero roulette games. Dice mentioned, “We offer a little bit of everything because there are still players who prefer those games,” ensuring that all customers find something to enjoy at The Strat.

If you want to improve your blackjack skills, you can practice online at legalized online casinos or sweepstakes casinos.  You can try out different strategies and learn at your own speed. Many sweepstakes casinos let you play for free or provide bonus codes.
