Patrick Mahomes did not lead the NFL in either passing yards or passing touchdowns in 2020, but sportsbooks project him as the betting favorite in 2021 for each.
BetMGM, among others, has listed odds for individual stat leaders with Mahomes the favorite to throw the most touchdowns (+350) and the most yards (+325).
A year ago, Mahomes started in 15 of 16 games, but one more game wouldn't have been enough to catch Aaron Rodgers in touchdowns. Mahomes threw 38 touchdowns, two behind Tom Brady and Russell Wilson and 10 behind Rodgers, who led the NFL with 48.
That extra game would've given him the most passing yards, as he fell under 100 yards shy of Deshaun Watson but led the NFL with 316 yards per game.
Ryan Fitzpatrick is the favorite to lead the league in interceptions thrown now that he has a job to himself. While sharing duties with Tua Tagovailoa last season, Fitzpatrick threw eight interceptions in nine starts.
Now with Washington, Fitzpatrick has a firm grasp of the job. Carson Wentz and Drew Lock led the NFL with 15 interceptions each last year.
Derrick Henry was the overall rushing king last season, leading the NFL in both yards (2,027) and touchdowns (17). It's no surprise he's the favorite once again.
On the receiving side, Aaron Rodgers' favorite target, Davante Adams, hauled in 18 touchdowns last year. That cleared runner-up Tyreek Hill by three. With Rodgers back, Adams is entrenched as the favorite to catch the most touchdowns again.
Stefon Diggs led the league in receiving yards, receptions and targets, but he shares the top spot on the oddsboard with DeAndre Hopkins for both receiving yards and catches.
