Things are taking shape in the NFL with the 2023-24 regular season on the horizon.
I took a look at which teams will face the hardest schedules this season, and I’ve updated those projections now that we’re getting closer to the season opener.
One thing remains the same: AFC East teams will have it the toughest this season, followed by the AFC West. With Aaron Rodgers moving to the Jets, all four teams in the East are playoff contenders, while the West has the reigning-champion Chiefs and Chargers. Kansas City also has matchups against the Bengals and Eagles this season.
The reason I think these are some of the sharpest strength-of-schedule rankings is that they are dynamic, in that they take a team’s future health into account. For example, I’m projecting teams that play the Cardinals later in the season to be going up against Kyler Murray instead of Colt McCoy, who will start the season as Arizona’s starting quarterback.
Here are my latest rankings for strength of schedule.
