Important Bears Betting Stats
Matt Eberflus is 13-20-1 against the spread (ATS) as a head coach in the NFL. Tyson Bagent and Brett Rypien are the only Bears QBs with an ATS record, and they're both 2-2.
Few teams have put their rookie quarterback in a better position to succeed right away than the 2024 Bears.
Obviously, Caleb Williams is the star. The former Oklahoma and USC quarterback has potential to be one of the best in the NFL, potentially from Day 1.
Around him, though, is a strong cast of playmakers. Running back DeAndre Swift was signed as a free agent. Wide receiver Keenan Allen was acquired from the Chargers, and Rome Odunze was taken with the ninth pick in the draft. Also, tight end Gerald Everett was brought in.
As long as Williams isn’t an absolute disaster (which is unlikely), that unit should be able to keep Chicago competitive in most games this season.
How To Back the Bears This Season
The Bears are a coin flip to make the playoffs. If you believe in Chicago, a -112 bet on "Yes" at FanDuel seems like the way to go.
If you're feeling especially optimistic about the Bears this season, they're +340 to win the NFC North.
According to Action Network's Sean Koerner, the Bears will face the seventh-easiest schedule in the NFL this season.
Aside from facing the Lions and Packers twice, the Bears will only face two playoff teams from last season: the Texans (Week 2) and 49ers (Week 14).
Williams will make his NFL debut in Week 1 at Soldier Field against the Titans.
Chicago is a 4.5-point favorite against Tennessee with the game total sitting at 43.5.
