There’s another week to go in the regular season, but the Chicago Bears are already on the clock.
The Panthers' 26-0 loss to the Jaguars on Sunday coupled with the Cardinals’ 35-31 upset over the Eagles secured the top overall pick for Chicago thanks to last year’s blockbuster trade. Carolina acquired last year’s No. 1 pick from the Bears in order to select Bryce Young. In return, they sent Chicago wide receiver DJ Moore, 2023 first and second-round picks, a 2024 first-round pick and a 2025 second-round pick.
So, who will the Bears take?

The heavy favorite is USC quarterback Caleb Williams, who many pundits believe is a generational talent. He’s -500 at FanDuel, followed by UNC quarterback Drake Maye (+400), Ohio State wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. (+1600), LSU quarterback Jayden Daniels (+3500) and Washington quarterback Michael Penix Jr. (+8000)
There’s a long way to go before the draft kicks off on April 25 in Detroit, and there will surely be twists and turns along the way. For instance, there’s a vocal contingent who believe the Bears should keep Justin Fields and either trade the pick away or select a different position player.
Harrison is among those whom draft experts believe the Bears may target if they keep the pick. The Ohio State star is considered one of the best wideouts in college football history, and he's the favorite at DraftKings to be the first non-quarterback selected (-350). Florida State defensive lineman Jared Verse (+350), Penn State offensive tackle Olumuyiwa Fashanu (+600), Notre Dame offensive tackle Joe Alt (+900) and UCLA defensive lineman Laiatu Latu (+1100) round out the top five.
