After a late-season collapse, the pressure is on Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni to bounce back.
Sirianni is 36-20, including the playoffs, in his three seasons as Eagles head coach, but a Wild Card loss last season was a tough end to a season that saw Philly start 10-1 and with a lot of promise.
Here’s everything you need to know about the Eagles below.

Important Eagles Betting Stats
Jalen Hurts is 27-27-2 against the spread in his NFL career, while Kenny Pickett is a surprising 15-9, although it helps to play with one of the best defenses in the NFL.
In his first three seasons as Eagles head coach, Nick Sirianni is 26-28-2 against the spread.
The Eagles are tied with the Lions for the second-lowest odds to win the NFC this season at +550. You could have gotten Philly in the futures market to win the Super Bowl at +1800 during the offseason, but that's down to +1300 now.
Given how the Eagles' 2023 season ended, with a loss in the first round of the playoffs after losing the NFC East due to a late-season slide, those odds are a surprise.
Philadelphia opened the season 10-1. The Eagles had beaten the Cowboys, Chiefs and Bills and were flying high after Week 12.
Advanced statistics, though, were less kind to Philly. Of those 10 wins, seven were by one score, and the offense was not humming as it did the previous season with Jalen Hurts under center.
Then, Philadelphia lost five of its last six games and finished second in the division before seeing its season end in Tampa Bay during Wild Card Weekend.
The Eagles made a few splashes in the offseason, primarily on offense and with their coaching staff. The latter of which saw Kellen Moore hired as offensive coordinator, bringing a fast-paced scheme that he used recently with the Cowboys and Chargers, and Vic Fangio as the defensive coordinator. Both changes had the same message: Sirianni has to win this season.
Also helping the urgency was the Eagles' move to sign running back Saquon Barkley in free agency. Philadelphia's offensive line should remain capable after Jason Kelce retired, and the rest of the key players are back in wide receivers A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith and tight end Dallas Goedert.
How To Bet the Eagles in 2024
As I mentioned, the futures markets for the Eagles have already been hit hard. They’re all the way down to -140 to win the NFC East.
If you believe in the changes that the Eagles made in the offseason and think the offense will bounce back to its 2022 success, maybe Hurts winning the MVP at +1600 is the way to go. He’s tied for seventh on the board with Brock Purdy behind six heavy-hitting QBs. Hurts can put up numbers with his legs and arm, though, so it’s worth a look.
According to Action Network’s Sean Koerner, the Eagles will face the 25th-most difficult schedule in the NFL this season.
Philadelphia will face playoff teams from last season in the Packers, Buccaneers, Browns, Cowboys (twice), Rams, Ravens and Steelers, but the rest of it is subpar. The NFC East matches up with the NFC South this season, and the Eagles get to play the Giants and Commanders twice.
The Eagles will open the season on national television in Sao, Paolo, Brazil, against the Green Bay Packers on Friday night.
The Eagles are 1.5-point favorites with the game total set at 48.5. That’s tied for the third-highest total of the week.
