The Seahawks will have a much different look on the sidelines next season, although most of the offensive personnel will look the same.

Important Seahawks Betting Stats
Geno Smith is 32-32-3 in his career against the spread, while backup Sam Howell is 7-10-1. Third-stringer P.J. Walker, however, is an impressive 7-2-1 from his time with the Panthers.
Mike Macdonald, obviously has not coached in the NFL yet.
For the first time since 2010, the Seahawks enter an NFL season with a new head coach. They’ve gone from the 72-year-old Pete Carroll to the 37-year-old Macdonald.
Macdonald spent 2014-20 with the Ravens coaching the defense in various roles before becoming the University of Michigan’s defensive coordinator in 2021. He returned to Baltimore as the DC for the past two seasons and is now leading the Seahawks.
Macdonald inherits a Seahawks roster that looks pretty similar to the one that barely missed the playoffs last season, especially on offense.
Macdonald has hired Ryan Grubb as his offensive coordinator. Last season, Grubb led the University of Washington offense that starred Michael Penix Jr. to a berth in the College Football Playoff national championship.
Now, Grubb will be tasked with getting the most out of Geno Smith. The veteran QB has a reliable trio of receivers in veterans DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett and potential second-year breakout Jaxon Smith-Njigba. Kenneth Walker and Zach Charbonnet also give Seattle a solid duo in the backfield.
How To Back the Seahawks This Season
The betting market is down on the Seahawks entering this season. Their win total it 7.5, which is low for a franchise that usually is competing in the NFC. Seattle is +194 to make the playoffs, as well.
That’s probably the best way to bet Seattle for this upcoming season if you believe in what Macdonald is cooking up there. The NFC doesn’t have great depth in terms of contenders, so a revitalized team with a young head coach could make a strong push.
According to Action Network’s Sean Koerner, the Seahawks’ 2024-25 schedule is tied for the 17th-most difficult in the NFL.
The playoff teams outside of the 49ers and Rams in their division that Seattle will face this season include the Dolphins, Lions, Bills and Packers.
The Seahawks are laying 4.5 points to the Broncos in Week 1 this season. The game total is 42.5, which is tied for the third lowest of the slate.
This is the second time in three years that Seattle will open the season at home against Denver, famously pulling off a one-point upset against Russell Wilson in his Broncos debut as a big underdog back in 2022.
