It has been a busy day in the NFL, with the Pittsburgh Steelers and Los Angeles Rams stealing the spotlight by acquiring big-name wide receivers.

Free agency in the NFL begins on Wednesday with the league gearing up for the start of a new year. Teams are looking to make key moves ahead of the draft with the salary cap going up in a big way this offseason.

Normally, wide receivers don't move the betting market, but Sunday's moves by the Steelers and Rams did just that.

Pittsburgh Steelers Super Bowl Odds

After the news broke about DK Metcalf's arrival to the Pittsburgh Steelers, sportsbooks wasted no time adjusting the odds for the 2026 Super Bowl.

According to Vegas Insider's Patrick Everson, BetMGM had the Steelers at +8000 to win the Super Bowl at the start of the day. However, after news broke that they were acquiring Metcalf and subsequently signing him to a five-year contract worth $150 million, that number dropped significantly to +6600.

We still don't know who the Steelers' starting quarterback will be this season, but there are plenty of veterans available like Aaron Rodgers, Russell Wilson, Sam Darnold, Justin Fields and potentially Kirk Cousins. Whoever is under center for Pittsburgh will have two impressive weapons to target in Metcalf and George Pickens.

The first domino to fall on Sunday was Davante Adams, who's headed to the West Coast to join the Rams on a two-year deal worth $46 million.

Cooper Kupp's days with the Rams will be numbered soon, and his replacement is one of the NFL's best receivers.

Adams turned 32 in December but has posted 1,000-yard receiving seasons in each of the last five years, two of which were with the Raiders and the other split between them and the Jets. In 11 games with New York, Adams averaged 6.1 receptions for 77.6 yards with Aaron Rodgers.

Now, Adams will join a prolific Rams offense led by QB Matthew Stafford and WR Puka Nacua.

The Rams began Sunday at +2500 to win the Super Bowl at BetMGM, according to Everson. However, following the news of Adams' arrival, the line shifted to +2200.
