If you're a fan of the NFL, you've surely heard the outlandish conspiracy theory that the sport is "scripted" ahead of time.

Last year, all it took was one tweet that purported to show the final score of Super Bowl LVII between the Eagles and Chiefs on a Sports Reference page. Previously, "the script" involved old, photoshopped Simpsons episodes.

And this year, it involves the color scheme of the upcoming Super Bowl.

Naturally, the conspiracy theory has only been amplified by the fact that the Ravens and 49ers have posted historically good seasons and are by far the favorites to meet each other in the Super Bowl. Entering the postseason, the Ravens ranked as the No. 5 since 1981, according to defense adjusted value over average (DVOA). The 49ers ranked No. 8 of all-time on that list.

In fact, at FanDuel, the Ravens beating the 49ers in the Super Bowl — as the "script" predicts — is the worst outcome for the sportsbook financially. That's because of all the people betting on this conspiracy theory at crazy plus-money odds.

The color at the bottom of the aforementioned logos have won the Super Bowl the last two seasons — red for the Chiefs and yellow for the Rams — which means conspiracy theorists have the Ravens beating the 49ers this year, with purple at the bottom of Super Bowl LVIII's logo.

As far as the odds for this game go, the 49ers would be favorites in this matchup despite getting manhandled at home vs. this very team earlier this year.
