San Francisco 49ers receiver Brandon Aiyuk was carted away after suffering an apparent right knee injury against the Chiefs.
Aiyuk’s leg bent awkwardly during a tackle at the end of a 15-yard catch in the final minute of the first half. Trainers tended to Aiyuk on the field.
While Aiyuk was able to walk off under his own power, after emerging from the medical tent, he was carted to the locker room. He pointed to his right knee as he was taken away.

Aiyuk, who earned second-team All-Pro honors last season, signed a four-year, $120 million contract extension this offseason.
The 49ers receiving corps entered the weekend undermanned. In addition to Aiyuk, receiver Deebo Samuel left Sunday’s game due to an illness, and Jauan Jennings missed the contest due to a hip injury.
Receiver Ricky Pearsall — once among the favorites to win the Offensive Rookie of the Year Award — made his official debut Sunday for San Francisco after missing the Niners’ first six games recovering from a gunshot wound.
Kyle Shanahan’s squad was favored by 2.5 points (-110) to win Sunday’s matchup against the Chiefs at BetMGM Sportsbook.
At full strength, the 49ers are one of the NFL’s top teams. According to BetMGM, San Francisco is currently tied for the second-best odds of winning Super Bowl 59 (+700) after opening with the best odds (+500).
