The Seattle Seahawks have officially ruled out quarterback Russell Wilson and running back Chris Carson for their tilt on Sunday Night Football against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Wilson had suffered a fractured finger during a Thursday night game against the Los Angeles Rams. He underwent surgery last week and ESPN reported earlier this week that the best-case scenario will see the former Super Bowl-winning QB return to the field in four weeks.
Sunday will be the first time Wilson has missed a start in his 10-year career. Carson, meanwhile, had missed practice all week with a neck problem. He missed the aforementioned Rams game with the same injury.
Carson had been ranked the No. 38 running back on The Action Network's rankings prior to confirmation that he'd miss Sunday's game.
Now, with Carson out, Alex Collins is poised to be in the RB2 or flex conversation.
Collins is now listed as a low-end RB2 in Samantha Previte's weekly rankings. Previte is a fantasy football analyst at The Action Network.
Meanwhile, The Action Network's Director of Predictive Analytics Sean Korner said Collins is a RB3 or flex this week.

Collins rushed for 47 yards on 15 carries and added 25 receiving yards on two receptions in his only start last week.
The 27-year-old out of Arkansas had solid volume — the Seahawks, of course, love to run the ball — but he looked sluggish at times. It didn't help that Geno Smith was behind center instead of an eight-time Pro Bowler.
