Amari Cooper had himself a day. The veteran wide receiver put up video game numbers in the Browns' 36-22 win over the Texans. Cooper broke the Browns' franchise record for receiving yards with 265 on the day and finished with 10 catches and two touchdowns.
This burst isn't out of the blue for the former No. 4 overall pick. It's his fourth career game with at least 200 receiving yards in a single game, tying Don Hutson, Charley Hennigan and Jerry Rice for the second-most 200-yard games in NFL history.
He entered Week 16 with four 100-yard games, including a previous high of 139 yards against the Cardinals.
With the gaudy stats he put up today though, Cooper likely also made some prop bettors a nice sum of money. Cooper went over all of his baseline props: 60 receiving yards (-122), 4.5 receptions (-113), longest reception 22.5 (-119), anytime touchdown scorer (+190).
The alternate props are where Cooper really made a splash. If you were bullish on Copper scoring two touchdowns, his odds were +1500 pre-game. If you bet him to get 9+ receptions, you could have bet his odds at +750. A bet on Cooper to have at least 100 yards came in at +320 odds and a bet for him to get 125 yards was listed at +640 odds.
Cooper also gave fantasy managers their best or worst day of the season. Cooper had 51.5 fantasy points in ESPN PPR leagues Sunday. Only Ja'Marr Chase (52.2) had a high mark in a single game this season.
