A 2-0 start with the Jacksonville Jaguars up next hasn't slowed down bettors when it comes to backing the Arizona Cardinals.
Kyler Murray, Kliff Kingsbury and Co. travel to Jacksonville for an early start and sit as a 7.5-point favorite on Friday afternoon. But with the Urban Meyer experiment off to an 0-2 start — both straight up and against the spread — bettors are putting their money down on the road team.
According to data released by BetMGM, the Cardinals are the third-highest handle in Week 3, meaning Arizona has taken the third-most amount of dollars out of all teams on Sunday.
Of course, the state of Arizona leads the way on backing their hometown team. For the state, the Cardinals are the highest handle of the weekend. The Cardinals also have the most handle in the state of Mississippi.
The Cardinals are off to a perfect start, although they failed to cover in Week 2 against the Minnesota Vikings. A late missed field goal helped Arizona survive after dominating the Tennessee Titans in Week 1. Murray is already at the top of MVP conversations. His +550 odds are shortest on the board at BetMGM.
Teams based out of the pacific time zone that travel to the eastern time zone for a 1 p.m. ET kickoff are 28-19-1 ATS over the last four seasons, including the playoffs.
That's good for a 58% clip.
Meanwhile, it's the Las Vegas Raiders that are receiving the most handle this week, topping Tennessee and Arizona.
The Raiders are also 2-0 on the year with upset wins over the Ravens and Steelers.
Las Vegas is a 4-point favorite over the Miami Dolphins, who will start Jacoby Brissett at quarterback for the injured Tua Tagovailoa.
Out of 15 states where BetMGM operates, the Raiders have the highest handle this week in 12 of them.
And of course there's the premier matchup of the weekend between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Los Angeles Rams. Despite being at home, the Rams are a 1-point underdog as bets stack up on the Bucs.
Tampa Bay has taken the most bets out of any team this week, and Rams-Bucs is the most-bet game of the week thus far.
